From your hotel, you start the day with an enjoyable drive to Nagarkot (2,195 meters), a well-known hilltop close to Kathmandu that is known for its stunning views of the mountains and sunrises. After taking in the scenery, you will start the gradual descent towards Telkot along a path through forests that offers views of terrain with hills, terraced farms, and rural homes.
The journey continues from Telkot to Changunarayan Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This hilltop temple, which honors Lord Vishnu, is well-known for its Lichchhavi-era cultural significance, wood carvings, and ancient stone inscriptions.
After that you can either return directly to your hotel after touring the temple and its surrounding area, or you can make a valuable stop at Bhaktapur Durbar Square, another UNESCO site rich in historic structures, temples, and traditional Newari culture. This gives your trek through nature a lovely cultural touch.
